Sleep Coaching

Rested Mama and Baby...

As a sleep coach, I know that sleep is one of the biggest challenges for new parents. It's completely normal to feel exhausted and have lots of questions about how to help your little one—and you—get more rest. I'm here to guide you with compassion and support. Here are some of the most common questions I hear from parents, along with some warm, supportive answers.

Q: "I'm so tired. What exactly is a sleep coach, and how can you help me?"

A: I hear you, and it's completely understandable to be running on empty. A sleep coach is here to be your guide and a source of calm in the chaos of sleepless nights. My role is to listen to your unique situation, understand your baby's temperament and needs, and then create a personalized plan to help you both get better sleep. I won't just give you a checklist; I will be there to support you through the process, answer your questions, and celebrate your wins. My goal is to empower you with the knowledge and confidence to help your little one learn the beautiful skill of sleeping soundly.

Q: "I’ve heard so much about sleep training. Do I have to let my baby cry it out?"

A: This is a very common concern, and it's one I take very seriously. The good news is that "crying it out" is just one of many approaches, and it's often not the right fit for every family. I believe in a gentle, responsive approach that prioritizes your family's comfort and values. We will work together to find a method that you feel good about—one that allows you to be present and responsive to your baby while teaching them to fall asleep independently. My job is to give you tools that feel right for you and your baby.

Q: "My baby is still so little. At what age can we actually start working on sleep?"

A: That's a great question, and it's important to know there isn't a one-size-fits-all answer. For newborns, our focus is on building a strong sleep foundation. This includes things like helping them distinguish between day and night, learning their sleepy cues, and establishing a flexible routine. For babies a little older, we can begin to work on more independent sleep skills. Every baby is different, so we will look at your little one's developmental readiness together and create a plan that is safe, effective, and feels gentle.

Q: "What does the sleep coaching process actually look like? Is it just a one-time thing?"

A: Sleep coaching is a journey, not a quick fix. My service is designed to be a supportive partnership. We will start with a comprehensive consultation where I get to know you, your baby, and your goals. From there, I will create a detailed, custom sleep plan for you. The most important part of my service is the ongoing support. I will be in frequent contact with you—checking in, answering your questions as they come up, and making adjustments to the plan as we go. You won't be alone in this; I will be right there with you every step of the way until you feel confident and are seeing results.

Q: "What if it doesn't work? I'm worried we'll put in all this effort for nothing."

A: I completely understand that fear. Please know that the plan we create together is specifically designed for your family, and my job is to make sure we find what works. We will track progress together, and if something isn't working, we'll talk through it and pivot. It’s a process of learning and adjusting, and I promise you will see positive change. Even small improvements can make a huge difference in how you feel every day. My commitment is to your success and to helping you feel more rested and confident as a parent.

Remember, I am here to be a source of calm and support for you. Please never hesitate to reach out with any question, no matter how small you think it might be. You're not alone, and you're doing beautifully.
